When I was about 18 years old, my parents decided I needed a better education than the local system had. I was sent to an “exclusive and expensive” boarding school The second day there, I became very sick and was sent to the infirmary where the nurse decided to admit me. She sent for my pajamas, robe, etc and as soon as they arrived she escorted me into a large dormitory where there were six or seven beds on each side of the room. There were about six boys there, all reading and not paying attention as she pointed to a bed at the end of the room.

I laid down, closed my eyes and in a few minutes the nurse came to the door at the other end of the room and in a voice you could hear all over the campus called out my name and told me that she would be giving me an enema in a few minutes. I had one enema many years before that and didn’t really remember much about it. Again, I closed my eyes and in a few minutes I could hear someone walking down the isle towards my bed. I looked up and there was the nurse. carrying a red bulging enema bag and long white hose. She also had some sort of pole that eventually she hung the bag on. I have been practicing medicine in the same town for about ten years now. Since my specialty is proctology I do not see a lot of young people. Of course I do get the occasional forty year old hypochondriac who is convinced that a bout of constipation is a sure sign that they are dying of colon cancer or some other exotic disorder. But other than that life in this particular specialty is pretty dull. At least until a week ago. One of the partners in our group practice said he had a relative visiting who was having some rectal pain and asked if I could have a look at her. I guessed that this would be one of his older relatives that he was having for the weekend, I told him to send her in and I would check her out.

About an hour later his twenty one year old niece Shannon came to my office. I asked if she had driven her aunt or someone over, she said no. She was the patient. Shannon was a attractive girl whom I had met several time before when her family was visiting my partner Tom. Shannon had tears in her eyes at the thought of needing a rectal exam, but she said the pain was getting worse and she couldn’t put it off any longer. I asked her what type of problem she was having and I assured her that I would make her as comfortable as possible. (more…)

I work as a nurse in a Doctor’s office. Our clinic specializes in fitness assessments and doing executive physicals for local corporations. I deal with assholes (literally and figuratively) on a daily basis.

On a typical day I supervise the prepping of patients for proctological exams and, in the case of female patients, assist the male physicians in performing the “procto” exam.

The prep work on patients consists of instructing them on how to administer an enema prior to the procto. Most of the time the patients administer their own enemas but occasionally a patient does not want to do so and I administer the enema. On extremely rare occasions I get to give an enema to a beautiful woman!

One case that I will never forget involves Emma. Emma is a stunningly attractive marketing executive with a local firm. Two years ago she came in for her routine annual company physical. Emma had broken her arm in a skiing accident 4 weeks before and still had her right arm in a half cast. As I was doing the preliminary work-up on her prior to the physical, I noticed that she had recently turned 36. I told her, “Emma the policy of your company is to include a proctological examination of your colon in the physical exam past the age of 35.” (more…)

Walking from the elevator, I found myself on a row of professional looking offices, and while I could not imagine where I had thought that my practitioner might work, the deep pile carpet of the corridor began to have a soothing effect on my nerves and spirits. It was a long corridor and at last I came to an oak door with no identification other than : “CLINIC : Suite 414″ on a copper plate . With a trembling hand, I opened the door and entered into a receptionist area which had been tastefully and professionally decorated.

I had just started to settle into one of the glove leather sofas in the waiting room, when an office door quietly opened and a white-frocked middle aged man said, “Ms. Anne Broderick, I presume ? Won’t you come in please.”

I followed the Doctor into an office area which overlooked the park and took one of two chairs facing the desk.

“I’m Doctor Chadwick,” he began, “My practice specialty centers on the exploration and diagnostic treatment, if need be, of what might be otherwise be considered problems of a sexual nature. Your confidentiality is assured here,” he continued ” and I want you to feel completely comfortable in discussing the matter which brought you to us. Now how might we be of service to you ?” (more…)
